Warnings & reminders

  • Turn to ACC (do not start the engine) before connecting the tool.
  • Plug the OBD tool into the car's OBD diagnostic socket (position: under the steering wheel near the A-pillar).
  • Your car's screen will display DIAG and restart; after about 10 seconds the headunit will enter a new menu. Unplug the OBD tool and connect your phone, then follow prompts to confirm activation.
  • Must ensure that the Siri option on your phone remains enabled.
  • Use the original charging cable for your phone.
  • CarPlay is for iOS devices (iPhone 5 and above supported); Android Auto works with compatible Android devices (not all Android phones support Android Auto).
  • For unsupported models or issues, ensure your headunit is updated to the latest version online. AMG cars are not supported.
