Use the device with gel, lie comfortably on your back, and gently press the probe on the abdomen. Move slowly to search for the fetal heartbeat; once you hear a steady roar, press the probe firmly to let the machine measure the heartbeat over one minute. Normal fetal heart rate typically ranges from 110 to 160 BPM, and readings usually stabilize quickly. For best results, start detecting from the lower abdomen and gradually move upward. Always listen to the correct fetal heart sound before checking the numbers—if you don’t hear a regular heartbeat, the numeric reading may be invalid.
