How to install

1. Squeeze the boot below the shift knob to disconnect the shift boot from the shift knob.
2. Remove the knob by rotating it counter‑clockwise; some models may require an open‑ended wrench to grip the lever nut.
3. Remove the knob and the lever nut from the shifter.
4. Use an angled, wide plastic pry tool to pry between the trim and center console.
5. Remove the plastic assembly that surrounds the shift lever.
6. Disconnect any electrical connectors attached to the shifter surround, and lift the shifter.
7. Flip inside out the shift boot, cut the black zip tie, remove the shifter boot retainer.
8. Install the new boot retainer from the exterior side of the shifter surround.
9. Secure it in place with the provided gasket and screws.
10. Reassemble the boot, shifter, trim and knob. Check for proper operation.
