Electronic Ignition Distributor Kit for Land Rover Lucas 45D4 43D4
Upgrade your classic engine’s starting routine with this electronic ignition distributor kit designed specifically for vintage Land Rover models. You will finally eliminate the constant tuning and premature contact wear that old breaker points cause. This assembly drops straight into your Lucas 45D4 or 43D4 distributor housing, delivering sharper throttle response and steadier spark timing. Each unit arrives ready to bolt on and includes a rugged black rotor arm to keep internal rotation smooth and consistent.
Here is how to get the most from your installation:
- Perform the swap during cooler weather when thick engine oil flows freely, making initial cranking much easier.
- Double-check your chassis wiring for a negative-earth layout before connecting the primary leads.
- Spray a thin layer of dielectric grease onto the electrical connector pins after routing the bundle to block road moisture.

Warnings & Reminders
This electronic kit operates strictly on negative-earth circuits. Applying it to a positive-earth vehicle will trigger early module failure. Your shipment may arrive through our standard logistics partner instead of the originally selected carrier.
Tighten the mounting screws firmly and take a short test run on familiar roads to confirm the upgraded spark timing holds steady under acceleration.
