Models such as the 528i, 528i xDrive, 528xi, 535i, 535i xDrive, 535xi, and 550i units must use halogen headlights for proper seating. For the M5, the kit fits all versions through February 2007. From March 2007 onward, M5 integration requires halogen lamps only.
