Your bike is not equipped with a Gear Position Sensor, so determining the gear in use is only possible when the engine is running and the clutch is released. This device connects to the 4-pole Kawasaki Diagnostic System (KDS) connector under the seat near the ECU and reads data directly from the ECU for fast readings.
