LED License Plate Lights for VW Golf MK5 Plus Passat B6 Jetta VI T5
Upgrade your rear visibility with high-output white LEDs engineered specifically to replace standard halogen or incandescent plate lamps. These 5W units deliver 500 lumens of crisp 6000K white light using reliable 3528 SMD chips encased in impact-resistant polycarbonate housings. Designed to eliminate the flashing dashboard warnings common after an LED upgrade, they work directly with VAG platform CANBUS systems without triggering error codes.
Fading factory bulbs and cracked plastic reflectors often leave license plates difficult to read after dark. By swapping to these durable replacement assemblies, you restore consistent illumination across the entire plate number while drawing minimal current from your vehicle’s electrical system. The direct-fit design requires no wiring modifications or programming, making it a straightforward improvement for improved road legality and safety.
Benefits & Tips
- Verify Housing Dimensions: Measure your existing lamp assembly length and width before installation to guarantee a clean, gap-free drop-in swap.
- Protect the SMD Chips: Handle the PCB by its edges during fitting; avoid prolonged contact with the 3528 LED diodes to preserve heat dissipation efficiency.
- Conduct a Wet Test: After installation, briefly run the lights in damp conditions to verify that the polycarbonate seal holds moisture away from your trunk electronics.
