Aluminum Short Shifter for BMW E30 E36 E46 E39 M3 M5 Z3 325
Your manual gearbox should offer instant response. Install this SPEEDRACING short shifter to reduce lever movement and snap into gear with confidence. You gain a tighter feel that makes every downshift and upshift satisfying.
Designed for performance drivers, this unit cuts the throw distance by up to 40%. The shift knob position drops closer by roughly 3 inches depending on your BMW model. This adjustment brings your hand nearer to the steering wheel for improved control inside the cabin.
Constructed from high-strength billet steel, the shifter resists flex and withstands aggressive usage. A durable nickel-plated coating keeps friction low and protects against everyday wear. You enjoy crisp linkage action day after day without corrosion slowing your progress.
Vehicle Compatibility & Fitment
This replacement shifter targets BMW manuals equipped with standard shift linkages. It fits E30 3-Series vehicles from 1984 onward, including the 316, 320, 323, 325, and M3 models (excluding the 318). E36 3-Series cars built between 1992 and 1998 accept this upgrade, covering 316 through 328 trims, plus the M3 and Z3 variants. E39 5-Series models and E46 3-Series builds benefit from the rapid-shift geometry. Remember, this kit supports manual transmissions only. Automatic gearboxes cannot use this component.
