Warnings/Reminders

  • All DIP switches are turned up, which is the normal ignition mode of the igniter. When all DIP switches are down, the igniter is in the 4000 RPM speed limit mode. DIP switches configurations also include infinite speed mode and various RPM-limited modes (6000, 7000, 8000, 9000 RPM) as described in the product details.
  • AC vs DC: Most machines are AC. DC CDI boxes are larger than AC CDI boxes. To determine if your machine is DC or AC, turn on the headlights with the machine off and the ignition in the ON position: if the headlight comes on, it is a DC machine; if not, it is an AC machine.
  • Verify the number of pins and plug style for the best match to your existing CDI.
