2Pcs Metal Tailgate Lock Cable For Volkswagen Amarok 2H5829491E 2010-2020
Your tailgate retaining cable keeps your rear cover securely in place when open. When these flexible wires wear out or stretch, your Amarok’s lid can slam shut unexpectedly. This 2‑piece replacement set restores firm support and smooth handling every time you load gear. The high‑tensile steel core handles heavy pickup lids without snapping. A weather‑resistant rubber jacket shields the inner wires from rust, UV exposure, and road friction. You get an exact OE match with part number 2H5829491E for straightforward bolt‑on installation.
Benefits & TipsSlide one cable onto the left hinge and the other onto the right side for balanced lift support. Keep a spare set in your toolbox before old cables snap during a long weekend trip. Apply a light coat of grease to the anchor pins during swap‑out to keep movement smooth for years.
