Warnings / reminders

• Chlorine volatilization: a measured value of 0 in tap water can be normal. Interpret CL2 readings in the context of your water sample and calibration.
• Chlorine (CL2) measurement steps:
  1. Install a battery (battery is not included).
  2. Turn the knob slowly to the left toward CL2 until the pointer aligns with the calibration letter “C.”
  3. Immerse the metal probe into the measured solution, watch the pointer move, and wait for it to stop before reading.
  4. After use, clean the metal rod.
• pH measurement steps (note: pH testing does not require a battery):
  1. Remove the battery.
  2. Gently abrade the metal rod with fine sandpaper 1–5 times to remove dirt, then wipe clean.
  3. Turn the knob to the “PH” direction until it clicks and remains in place.
  4. Insert the metal rod into the pH solution to be measured and wait for the reading to stabilize.
  5. After use, clean the metal rod.
