Clermont-Ferrand Clermont-Ferrand is a city in the south-central France, surrounded by hills and encircled by the wooded and grassy volcanoes of the Monts-DÙme. It is the capital of the region of Auvergne and it's an important rail hub in this region with a number of attractions that do bring in visitors.
