| Hi! Good idea Intercyprus! Since I am first to post I'll post a question: What about colleges and Universities? Suppose I am a Greek Cypriot and would like to take up courses (for one reason or another) in a department of a higher institution in the Turkish Cypriot State, or vice versa. And, of course would like to stay over there for the duration of my studies. Does Annan's plan have any answers on this? |

| Hello my Cypriot friends, I just would like to say wouldnt it be nice if the island settles its differences after all these years and I think deep down every Cypriot wants a settlement on the Cyprus issue so we can enjoy our country. We have a gold mine in Cyprus and with the 2 communities working together. You are looking at another Monte Carlo and hey we would have a much better football team. |

| The pressure for a settlement before December 12th comes from everywhere, the UN, the EU the US. I think it's time and it is all up to us Cypriots to make it work. |

| 50,000 Turkish Cypriots call for a united Cyprus to enter the EU (14/1/03). Greek and Turkish Cypriots must grasp this opportunity to finally begin solving the Cyprus problem, and heal the wounds of the past. We must look to the future and not allow those who are intent on stoking up hatred to succeed. I was born and live in the UK (my family came as refugees after the invasion). My dream is to go back home, to a united island, where all Cypriots live in harmony, Cyprus, a place i can only describe as paradise. It may take years to achieve, but we cannot and must not sit back and allow things to simply take their course. It is easy to criticise, about history, about the role of the US and Britain. But, for once, the voice of the people is being heard. All Cypriots must unite, to unite Cyprus. We have come such along way since 1950s and 60s etc. Now is the time for us to make a stand, against those who are not interested in Cyprus and its people. I say to Turkish Cypriots, we can all see, and we all hear your voices for freedom, keep up the pressure, and one day the dream WILL become a reality. |

| Lara, we share with you the wishes for peace in Cyprus. Let us remind you that Turkish Cypriots were always welcome in the free areas. The fact is that Raouf Denktash was not permitting you to visit us. Even now, Greek Cypriots have to wait more than 8 hours to visit the occupied territories. Of course we can be friends and we want it as much as you do. But we want a solution to be found that is just for all Cypriots. This "free" passage decision is not a solution. |

| Hello friends, I wonder how I can go about finding friends that have been moved from their area during the invasion, I have tried the Cyprus Red Cross but to no avail. Of course my task is made more difficult as most of my friends were girls and have probably married and so changed their names. So, are there any sites with school mames or photos? I was in Akhna. |

| Hello Maria, what you are asking is not an easy task, especially if you are not in Cyprus. We hope someone from Akhna reads your post and comes up with some good news for you. There is however an Akhna municipality operating in the governemnt controlled area. They are at Dasaki Aknas and their telephone is 24721666. They may have some idea of how to help you find your friends. |
